The Northamptonshire Growth Hub offers a range of projects aimed at helping Northamptonshire businesses to develop and grow. These projects typically include access to experienced Business Advisers for one-to-one support, information advice and guidance as well as a range of funding opportunities including grants.

Now one of the major features of these projects is the series of skills workshops covering a variety of subjects which are designed to fill gaps in a business owner’s knowledge and help them develop their growth plans. It is also worth noting that each of the projects offering access to grant funding also expect applicants to have attended the associated programme of workshops. But these workshops are much more than a training exercise or an obstacle on the path to grant funding.
Apart from the learning activity to reinforce knowledge, they are an excellent networking opportunity. Each workshop is typically attended by up to 25 businesses, usually all at a similar stage of development. In each of these workshops it has often been the case that positive business relationships have been established between various clients attending the workshops, resulting in effective collaboration and excellent results for each business.

In addition, a series of demonstrator visits designed to encourage new and innovative ideas and share best practice will be organised starting from January 2018.
Northamptonshire Growth Hub – additional workshops and networking events
The Growth Hub regularly organises networking events and other support workshops, open to all businesses in the county of Northamptonshire and each of which is advertised on the Growth Hub website, www.northamptonshiregrowthhub.co.uk. The website is also an excellent source of information to help business owners explore the range of support options that are currently available and in addition, our business advisers are also available to provide further information, advice and guidance.
The Northamptonshire Growth Hub was established in November 2013 to fulfil a need for business support for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in the County and in that time has helped over 4,500 businesses. It is now based in two locations: the Innovation Centre in Northampton and the iCon in Daventry – both ‘state-of-the art’ facilities offering office space and meeting facilities. The Northamptonshire Growth Hub handles over 500 calls every quarter, 70% of which are established businesses but with a significant portion from pre-start and start-up enterprises.
