1 Information We May Collect From you

We may collect and process the following information about you:

1.1  Information you provide to us:

You may provide us with information by filling in forms on our website, or by corresponding with us by phone, e-mail or otherwise. This includes information you provide when you enter into a contract for the supply of services. The personal information you provide may include your name, address, e-mail address and phone number. Depending on which services you are interested in, you may also need to provide us with certain categories of sensitive personal information, to allow us to adhere to our funding agreement and perform statistical research, including for example, gender, ethnicity, disadvantage (disability). We aim to only process data as company data, but understand that in some situations what would be company data is also personal data. By providing us with this information, you expressly consent to our use of your sensitive personal information in accordance with this privacy policy.

1.2  How we use your information:

We use the information that we collect for communication purposes, which allows us to continue to provide you with our services deemed as relevant. Further processing includes processing information about the type and intensity of business support we provide and the nature of your business support enquiry. To meet our funding obligations, we are required to use your data to provide certain business and statistical information about the service we provide to you, to our funding bodies. This may include providing your name and contact details.

From time-to-time, we may also send you business-related resources, funding opportunities/options, news and events that are relevant to services we provide you. If you do not want to receive marketing-communications from us, you can let us know at any time by speaking to your allocated business adviser. We may also use your information when suitable to evaluate our services in order to improve the business support we provide.

1.3  How we share your information:

(a) Personal data: The Northamptonshire Growth Hub will not rent or sell your personal data to others. We may store personal information in locations outside the direct control of the Northamptonshire Growth Hub (for instance, on servers or databases co-located with hosting providers and third party service providers). Your data will be shared with the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership (SEMLEP) and other government departments for the purposes of project monitoring and evaluation as well as any project’s other relevant funding provider, which will be included & named in the privacy notice documentation pertaining to that project. We may also share your data with the Universityof Northampton’s Institute for Social Innovation and Impact department for statistical purposes. We will not share more information than what is necessary to complete this task adhering to the GDPR principle of data minimalisation. The General Data Protection Regulation applies only to personal data, the definition provided by the ICO being: any information relating to an identifiable person who can be directly or indirectly identified in particular by reference to an identifier. GDPR gives you the data subject rights that you are able to exercise by getting in contact with your business adviser, or the SEMLEP Data Protection Officer at mydata@semlep.com, or phoning 01234 436 100.

(b) Non-Personal Data: The Northamptonshire Growth Hub will share non-personal data as necessary to the associated parties.

1.4  How your information is stored and processed:

Your information is collected through the Northamptonshire Growth Hub’s service and may be stored in a physical paper document and/or digital format on a secure CRM
system accessible only to authorised persons. We may transfer what we collect about you, including personal information, to affiliated entities where it is appropriate to do so, relative to that particular project, specified in the appropriate privacy notice.

1.5  How your information is protected:

We protect your privacy and data through a GDPR compliant Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database, but we cannot guarantee that your information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed by breach of any of our industry standard physical, technical or managerial safeguards. When you enter sensitive information on our online contact forms, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

1.6  People who subscribe to our E-newsletters

If you subscribe to our newsletters, you give us your consent to use the information you provide us for this purpose and to send you regular updates about us. We will not use your data for any other purpose and You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking on the link at the bottom of the newsletter.

Clients already previously subscribed to our E-newsletters are being retained under legitimate interests. If you wish to opt-out, you may do so at any time by unsubscribing using the link at the bottom of the relevant newsletter or by contacting your assigned business adviser. 1.7 Visitors to our website

When someone visits www.northamptonshiregrowthhub.co.uk we use WordPress’ tools and Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This does not collect information from which you can personally identify anyone.

We have a live chat facility that uses cookies and requires your name and email address so that we can maintain a record of who is using the service and maintain communication with you as necessary.

1.7  People who interact with us on social media

If you like or follow any of our social media accounts we will collect information about this using the relevant social media analytic tools, such as Facebook Pixel. We use this information for legitimate business purposes only. We monitor the data to understand how people use information we publish on social media and occasionally to provide you with more personalised information about the Northamptonshire Growth Hub’s services through social boosts and advertising. You can change your settings within your social media accounts to set how organisations can target social posts to you, through them.

1.8  People who respond to our online surveys and feedback

Occasionally, we may include a survey in our communications. For some of our events, we will request feedback. Depending on the survey/feedback nature, we may request some personal data. We will only use your data for legitimate purposes which will be set out in the survey. We will not share your information with any other organisation unless we have your prior consent to do so.

1.9  People who sign up to our events

When you sign up for an event, we record and retain personal data and use this for our legitimate business purposes. This includes:

  • Helping us to host an effective event
  • sending you information related to the event or which we think you may be interested in afterwards
  • We may also send you invitations to other events or workshops related to our work.

In some instances we must also use the data you provide us when you attend our eventsto meet our legal obligations set out in our Funding Agreements. For example, some of our events are part-funded by the European Union. For these events, we are obliged under our funding agreements to retain information about people who attend until 2033 and personal data may be transferred to our funding partners for auditing and evaluation purposes only.

To sign-up to our events, we use third party providers, Eventbrite, Event Pilot, GoToWebinar, GoToMeeting. For further information about how they process data we recommend that you read their privacy policy.

The personal information you provide us via Eventbrite will also be retained securely on our internal database. We retain information only for as long as necessary. Your data will not be shared with any other organisation unless we explicitly inform you before you sign up to the event and you provide your consent for us to do so.

2 Your Rights

2.1  Access, correction, deletion

We respect your privacy rights and provide you with reasonable access to the Personal Data that you may have provided through your use of the services. If you wish to access or amend any other personal data we hold about you, or to request that we delete any information about you, you may contact us by either contacting your assigned business adviser, or by contacting the Northamptonshire Growth Hub by phone on: 01604 212 696 or by email: enquiries@northamptonshiregrowthhub.co.uk. At your request, we will have any reference to your data deleted or blocked in our database in accordance with GDPR.

You may update, correct or delete your information at any time by contacting your allocated business adviser or the general Northamptonshire Growth Hub contact number 01604 212 696. Please note that any changes you make will be made within a reasonable period of time, but we may retain all information which you submit for backups, archiving, prevention of fraud and abuse, analytics, satisfaction of legal obligations, or where we otherwise reasonably believe that we have a legitimate reason to do so.

You may decline to share certain personal data with us, in which case we may not be able to provide to you with some of our services.

At any time, you may object to the processing of your personal data, on legitimate grounds, except if otherwise permitted by applicable law.

2.2  Data retention

We only retain the personal data collected from you for as long as we need it to fulfil the purposes for which we have initially collected it, unless otherwise required by law. We will retain and use information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and satisfy our funding agreements.
